On square impacts, the Air Liner’s resistance ramps up while it compresses to prevent rim strikes and pinch flats – it’s basically a shock installed in your tire. In addition to big-hit resistance, the Air-Liner Gravel lets you run a lower PSI, which lets your tires gobble up stutter bumps that would otherwise filter up through the bike. You’ll still feel a connection through the contact patch, there’ll just be less static from gravel chatter – and less accumulated rider fatigue from that chatter filtering up through the seatpost and bar. The Air-Liner Gravel’s profile reinforces the sidewall for stability while cornering, and it locks the tire against the rim bead.
